As the closing chapter to Macquarie Group’s annual Global Executive Directors’ Conference - and in celebration of its 50-year milestone - BLE created a dynamic gala dinner experience that blurred the boundaries between performance, innovation, and fine dining. Anchored by a series of monumental mirrored spheres, the space was designed to reflect Macquarie’s forward-focused mindset, immersing guests in a world of light, geometry, and symbolism.
From dramatic LED table runners that shifted colour and rhythm throughout the evening, to a carefully choreographed two-stage format, every cue was timed to create energy, intimacy, and surprise. The result was an evening of celebration and sensory elevation, grounded in Macquarie’s spirit of progression.
Giant silver sphere installations reflected the surrounding environment - mirroring the evening’s themes of future, scale, and impact while creating a striking focal point for the dining experience.
Each course was designed as a performance: a balancing decanter pour moment opened each table; the entrée invited guests to crack through a delicate edible shell; and custom-designed trolleys delivered roving cheese stations, while a three-metre-long glass sushi-style conveyor presented refined desserts with ceremony and style.
Linear LED table runners pulsed and evolved in sync with stage moments - subtly guiding the emotional arc of the night and reinforcing the theme of transformation.
A dual-stage setup allowed for a more dynamic flow of entertainment and keynote moments, transforming the format into a progressive experience rather than a traditional seated gala.
Guests transitioned to a second space anchored by a striking 5m wide LED halo stage and a moody supper club setting - complete with live music, ambient lighting, and lounge-style service.
A bespoke mini gin distillery station offered guests the opportunity to customise their nightcap - infusing theatre, interaction, and a personalised take-home moment.
